I am a supportive swim teacher with an individual approach to learning.
I am a fully-qualified STA Level 2 Swim Teacher. I teach all ages from 0+ but mainly those 4-8 years old. I am an STA and Swim England member, have enhanced DBS checks and am first-aid trained.
Apart from being a parent, teaching children to swim is the most rewarding thing in my life. Seeing swim lessons unlock confidence and self-esteem in children and open up a future life-time of water adventures is nothing short of amazing.
“Rebecca has consistently shown a strong ability to engage, support, and inspire children. She creates a positive and inclusive environment for young individuals and shows commitment to the welfare and development of children with her dedication and enthusiasm.” Director, Swim Works
I am Level 2 SEND trained and love supporting those with additional needs. I have ADHD myself and believe in tailored learning, inclusivity and treating children as individuals. In learning, one size does not fit all.
I teach a bespoke swim programme which has been a success in seeing children with additional needs and/or low confidence excel into independent swimming. I have a fun and engaging teaching method that instills a life-long love for water.
I support my swim school behind the scenes am committed to being the best teacher I can for all my swimmers. I am always creating resources and am currently working on a swim activity book for children.
“Rebecca was happy, engaging […] such a fresh, exciting class. Our little girl has hearing loss and she included some signing which was going above and beyond.” Customer Feedback
I love teaching children outside of the water too. As communications lead for Shout Out for the Arts I led workshops for primary school and college students.
I have previously covered as a teaching assistant in primary school and also developed a programme of after-school Lego clubs.
